Preparation
- Drizzle the Norwegian salmon with avocado oil and 1 tbsp maple syrup. Rub the oil and syrup evenly over the salmon fillets.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with your preferred maple grill seasoning. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the salmon fillets, ensuring it is well coated. Finish by adding the fresh cracked black pepper on top.
- Preheat a grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates. Place the salmon fillets on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for about 6 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is almost cooked through.
- While the salmon is grilling, prepare the maple butter glaze by combining the melted butter, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, and fresh parsley in a small bowl. When the salmon is almost done, brush the maple butter glaze generously over each fillet.
- Continue grilling the salmon for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the glaze to caramelize slightly. Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a minute before serving.
- Enjoy over an arugula salad or with grilled vegetables
